How is it possible that 2 years in a row, my kids get the brightest, ugliest soccer uniforms? And, this year the league decided to take it up a notch by making Dayton & Caydon's the girl style jersey w/ a v-neck and Madyson's team has the boy style jersey! Ughhhh, they are hideous! I was told if we want to have a choice in uniforms, then I must join the AYSO board. God NO! They do not think it is enough that we took on TWO teams. They are begging people to be coaches and we just volunteer!! Then we have to ref 22 games for the whole season! Which means we need to ref 2 extra games. I feel a little fed up with sports politics lately. I try to remind myself that BEFORE the season is the most stressful time! I made the girls ribbons for their hair, which cost US $20! Then, we make 2 seperate banners...but I actually enjoy this part because I get to design them! The girls team name is "Heavenly Girls"...I guess their uniforms are perfect because they are as bright as the sun!!! Our boys team's name is "The Demolitions"...now how are they suppose to demolish anyone in girly uniforms!!! hahah...ooohhh, that will be our angle, our opposing team will think we are weaker than we are! haha!! =) Oh well, I guess there are more important things to worry about than just uniforms! They match which is kinda neat...I just really wanted the pretty pastel colors for our girls! I hope all of the kids have a blast tomorrow during opening day...oh, and I secretly HOPE they win!!! =) All 3 of them moved up to the next level...so at their ages they are on the bottom because they will be playing against kids that can be up to 2 years older! Yikes!!! Madyson loves this sport so much, she told her dad she wants to play soccer in HS and get a scholarship! I was so happy to hear this because we are NOT paying for their colleges....we will be super broke after paying for all their sports activities!!!! =}
