What a FANTASTIC day this was!! It was planned for about 3 weeks! =) We decided to take a very long drive down to Huntington Beach for our kids last official day together before they start school! My family & part of Melissa's family met up with the DuBoise family...you know, Dayton & Caydon's GF's!! haha!! The kids had sooo much fun together. The water was only cold for a moment...after you got in...it was perfect! The weather was so hot too!! I never know what to expect with the beach! Dayton had a BLAST on the boogie boards.
He is always scared to try new things but, Mariah took him out there and that's where he was for most of the day! Ryelon, oh my gosh, this boy had the greatest time ever! He loved running from the waves, getting wet, oh and coating his whole body in sand!
We would clean him off and then there he was...laughing and rolling around in it! Towards the end, the waves were so choppy...Brandon & Mariah loved it with their boogie boards. But, us parents, were getting a little nervous! It was beautiful to watch but not when your small children are out in it.
Because it was getting so bad, lifeguards kept bringing people in and 2 lifeguard boats stayed out there to keep people from drifting or swimming out! Afterwards, we stopped for a small dinner and the kids slept all the way home! This was the first time we have been back to the beach since our twins were about 6 months old!! 6 years is way too long!! I already want to go back in September! =)
