My Sunday morning was dedicated to both of my Grandma's and my Aunt...along with Christopher's Grandma, Aunt, and Uncle! It was my privilege to walk for so many amazing family members who have touched our lives in many ways. There was thousands of ladies...AND men walking for the belief in the cure for cancer. One mans sign touched me the most. It said that his wife walked as a fighter in 2009 and now she walks as a survivor in 2010. How great is that!!!! =) There was many beautiful houses decorated with sign's, balloons, and supporters! I quickly realized that just ignoring cancer (or wishful thinking) does not make you NOT get it! I must get checked! The appt for my first mammogram will be scheduled today! =) I am so proud of all my unbelievably amazing friends. I walked with Alicia, Amber, April, Debbie, Jaxyn, Krista, & Pati! Each girl has a family member that they have lost to this terrible illness! It was such a heartfelt day! After we passed the finish line of the three mile walk...we went booth to booth for some fun samples and freebies! Which was good...because we were all starving! Then, we decided to have lunch at Chili's and chat some more! It really was such a nice day filled with laughter, thoughtfulness, and love! =) I ♥ all of you very much!
