Independence Day!!
Our day started with a BBQ, swimming, and great friends! It took a little bit for Ryelon to like the water...but after about an hour...he loved it and didn't want to get out!! =) Madyson, Dayton, & Caydon jumped in immediately...and never left, not even to eat! They were trying to eat food as we were walking out the door. =) Brandon was being shy...so strange, he only put his feet in...but ate enough to make up for the other kids not eating!! haha!! Then, we were off to get ready for the evening adventures. 
Yes, it was an adventure because we were poured on for about 2 hours!!! We decided to do something different this year. We went with the Biehn & Schmelz family along with 93 others to the Mavericks game. They reserved the whole patio area...with padded chairs and tables! Food was served to us and anything we needed. AND, we get to watch fireworks after the game. Doesn't that sound GREAT?? The reality was...the padded chairs filled up with water...which made us more soaked. 
It poured or drizzled all night. The game was postponed 2 times for over 45 mins...to where 100's of people filled into the covered area. Our food came right before it started to pour...so we had to eat under the covered area on TRASH CANS!!!! Even through all of this...it was a blast! We snuck in alcohol...which helped a little!!! We were surrounded by sweet people! 
And, I was with my family. It was hilarious to watch everyone cheering for the Mavericks but by the time the game was tied in the 10th inning...everyone started rooting for whoever could score!! =} The rain stopped...so, by 11pm we were able to watch an amazing fireworks show! For the first time, Ryelon was not scared of the big booms! He watched with oohs and awwsss....it was adorable!! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
