The Tuna Sandwhich!
Happy Birthday Alicia and Jennifer!!
Friday had been planned for about 2 weeks. Unfortunately, during my planning...I forgot about how whindy the roads are up to Arrowhead. The night started at Alicia's...we waited for April and Krista to pick us up! We were taking an adventure ride to the mountains to see Jennifer's new house! Well, 5 minutes into it...I thought I was going to get sick! Not just car sick...but, the type of sickness where I stopped praying to God to make me feel better...and to just kill me now! Ryelon and I went to lunch that day. I got a tuna melt and fried zucchini! Let me tell you, they do not taste good 5 hours later. Poor Alicia!
Even the butterscotch that she just happened to have in her purse...didn't help me!! Anyways, once we got up there...we met for Mexican food! I thought I would be able to enjoy some happy hour drinks. NOPE! I did love my food...the next day (reheated)!! After about 30 mins though...I was feeling much better! We enjoyed our conversation, picture moments, and present time with Alicia and Jennifer for their 28th birthdays! I am so lucky to have these birthday girls in my life! They scored...on some GREAT presents!! =) Luke (Jenn's boyfriend) is the sweetest too.
He went to Rite Aid and bought me some Dramamine! I will let you in on a secret...that stuff is a lifesaver and I could be a spokeswoman for it! I was a 100 percent after that! We went back to Jenn's...I am still laughing out loud at some of the things we were saying up her VERY steep driveway/street! BUT, we MADE it! Their little house is adorable! It is in a mountain...seriously...and super cute! They have to REALLY like each other though to live so secluded! =)
Jenn and Luke are adorable together. I cannot wait to see them tie the knot! =) On the way down, Krista and I wanted to stop on the side to get some more pics of the city under us. It was a beautiful sight! Well, the first stop...Alicia and April refused to get out because of the man with an ax in the middle of the woods!!! hahahaha!! But, by the next few stops...we got our way with those two. One of the stops was a little scary because April turned around on a 2 lane hwy and there wasn't enough room...well, there was speeding cars coming right towards us!!! A little scary! But, we made it home safely...we were not killed by the ax man...or the crazy mountain drivers. We will have wonderful memories from this trip forever! That is what life is all about! =)
